The state of the Final Fantasy XIV

After I do some rough housing, I'm off to the Market place to buy, sell and trade my way to fortune and fame. It's easy to spend hours looking through vendors for cool armor or cheap items you can flip. You can hire retainers (npc servants) to become your 24/7 stores and so far I'm up to two of them. This aspect of the game is about research prices, managing your retainers items/gold, and setting prices on what you want to sell. I've always been an in game entrepreneur and the Final Fantasy XIV landscape right now if very experimental.  Prices fluctuate and there is still a lot of speculation going on. I'm finding that to be very exciting.

The state of the game is that the changes up to now would feel pretty minor to anyone returning. The UI is better and spell effects have been increased but most of the tweaks have been server side or behind the scenes. There are changes in the works to revamp nearly every aspect of the game from the battle system to how the classes work. It will be interesting to see how those things come about and what ripples they cause in game. I'll be there and you can find me on Besaid....just look for Orion Doomfury. Good hunting.
