It's been about half a year since Final Fantasy XIV released and 4 months since the game led by a new producer. FFXIV still charges no subscription fee, and its PS3 version is delayed indefinitely, and it's even rumored to turn to free-to-play mode. Everything about Final Fantasy XIV seems to be disappointed, and many players hold no hope for the game that had an unsuccessful start. But FFXIV's new producer Naoki Yoshida doesn't think so and he won't give up.
"SE wasn't working close enough with their user base"
SE made the game all by themselves although they did work hard and want to make a good game. But it's not the way to develop a game, according to Naoki Yoshida, "the whole company would get together to work as one in a full company effort to get things back in track."
Now the team is working closely to the community while Naoki Yoshida himself has made 2 polls to collect the community's ideas. He points out that for Japanese players, they like to solo and want the game to keep its solo aspects while U.S players want parties, big battles. For European gamers, they desire for the Final Fantasy feel, for example, airships and Chocobos.
